Environment TOPdesk version SaaS / on-premises Requirements N/A Answer Granting permissions is done via Permission Groups. A Permission Group contains a set of permissions and can be linked to an Operator or Operator Group. When linking a Permission Group to an Operator Group, all the Operators in this group inherit those permissions. To link a Permission Group to an Operator (Group): ⒈Go to Modules > Supporting Files > Permission Groups. ⒉Open the Permission Group you want to assign to an Operator (Group). ⒊Open the tab Operators or Operator Groups. ⒋Press the button Link Wizard. ⒌Select the desired Operator (Groups) in the pop-up menu. ⒍Click Link. The Operator (Group) is now linked to the permission group.  If you already have similar operators that have the permissions that your new operator also needs, you can copy the operator profile of this operator. See KI 7256. This will also copy the permissions to the new operator. If you want to give permissions to others, this itself requires a permission: Supporting Files > Permission groups: Read, Write, Write (and create). Notes For more information, please see: •KI 8355: permission for the 'copy profile' feature •KI 6425: further use cases of editing permissions.
