Optional fields: Visibility in SelfServiceDesk

Environment TOPdesk version SaaS TOPdesk 5 / on-premises Requirements - Answer It is possible to show the optional fields in the SelfServiceDesk. For standard forms, this can be set as follows: - Go to Settings > Module settings > SelfServiceDesk > General > Functionality. - Tick the functionality 'Optional fields (first tab)' and/or 'Optional fields (second tab)'. - Save the settings. Changing this setting affects the optional tabs and optional fields of all TOPdesk cards. These will all be shown in the SelfServiceDesk, depending on which tab they are registered on, and which tab is enabled for the SelfServiceDesk. For TOPdesk 6 onwards •Standard forms can not be created anymore for TOPdesk 6. •Only for reservation cards and object cards, the information in optional fields is visible for SSP users. The optional fields can be activated via Module settings > Selfservice-Portal > Reservations manangement or Configuration management. •For all other cards in the SSP, optional fields can only be filled using forms and are not visible after creation of a new request. The optional fields can be activated under Module settings > SelfServiceDesk > General > Functionality. More information on using optional fields and forms can be found in KI 7757.
