Manually trigger action through context menu

Environment TOPdesk version SaaS / on-premises Requirements Action management Answer To add an action to the context menu so that it can be triggered manually, follow these steps: ⒈Navigate to Modules > Action management > Action explorer ⒉Open the action that should be triggered via the context menu. ⒊Select the desired context menu under ‘Available in context menu’.

Environment TOPdesk version SaaS / on-premises Requirements Action management Answer To add an action to the context menu so that it can be triggered manually, follow these steps: ⒈Navigate to Modules > Action management > Action explorer ⒉Open the action that should be triggered via the context menu. ⒊Select the desired context menu under ‘Available in context menu’. ⒋Save the action. After reopening the relevant card type, the action is available in the context menu. The context menu is located on the corresponding card to the right of the corresponding fields and is labelled with 3 dots. Note In versions older than 5.7, the option to create e-mail actions can be found in de "Dedicated Client" (Settings Management) of TOPdesk. You can download the Settings Management from the Settings on the web interface, or you can open the file "dedicatedclient.exe" in the installation folder of TOPdesk. ⒈Go to the action explorer ⒉Create a new e-mail action or open an existing one ⒊Check the context menu options beneath the block Special Events. ⒋Save the settings, go back to the web interface of TOPdesk and refresh the system settings. ⒌The action is now available in the context menu.
