Answer: When you download a new version of TOPdesk you can also download the documentation of this new TOPdesk version. You can find the "System requirements" in the documentation. This document provides guidelines of how much memory you have to allocate to your TOPdesk installation. The more operators, the more memory you have to allocate to your TOPdesk installation. In the installation wizard you can specify how much memory you allocate to TOPdesk. We suggest to check on regular basis how much operators are active in your TOPdesk environment and adjust the memory which is allocated to your installation. To adjust the memory in an existing TOPdesk installation: - Stop TOPdesk - Go to the installation folder - Go to the file "topdesk.conf" - Go to the line "wrapper.java.maxmemory =" - Add the desired amount of memory (in MB) to this line - Save and reboot TOPdesk Please keep the following two knowledge items in mind when assigning memory to TOPdesk: KI 7150 for overhead factors. KI 6140 for SQL server memory; in particular when it is on the same machine as TOPdesk.
