Environment TOPdesk version SaaS / on-premises as of TOPdesk 6 Requirements Self Service Portal Answer It is possible to publish selections in the Self Service Portal for the following card types: •Incidents from Incident Management •Changes from Change Management This is not an option for other modules/cards, such as reservations. By default, callers only see their own incidents in the self-service portal. It is also possible to see other caller's cards, KI 6764 has more information on this. The way you publish a selection in the Self-Service Portal depends on the version of TOPdesk. Below you find the explanation for TOPdesk 6 and higher: ⒈Create a selection for incidents/changes in the Operator's section via TOPdesk menu > New > Selections. ⒉Give the selection the name you want to appear on the button in the SSP ⒊Go to Module > Self Service Portal > Self Service Portal-Designer ⒋Add a tile ⒌Choose the tile type Selection overview ⒍Choose the selection you want to show ⒎Change availability if needed ⒏Save Notes •The results of a selection will check the view permission of the logged-in person. For example, if someone cannot see incidents from the same department, such incidents will not be shown. For more information on these view permissions in the SSP, consult KI 6764 - Self-Service Portal: Show more requests •Selections with the criteria 'Ask during selection use' cannot be published in the SSP . •It is not possible to publish a selection for a different card type (f.e. change activities) or from a different module. As a workaround you could regularly export a selection from the Operator's Section of TOPdesk and upload it to a knowledge item. Alternatively, persons can be given an operator account with minimal reading permissions to get access to the selection. •While you cannot publish selections for assets/objects, you can still show logged in users their linked objects in the SSP. More information on this can be found in KI 6322 Self-Service Portal: Personal overview of linked objects.
